Get Involved

There are many opportunities for you to participate in activities and volunteer at various events. Come to the Student Life Office to find out how to be involved!

The Campus Life Leadership program, is a unique opportunity within the Washington community college system for self-motivated, hard-working students to challenge themselves and gain substantial work experiences. Qualified students learn valuable lessons with hands-on experience in managing a program while earning money. Each position assumes responsibility for planning, organizing, budgeting and implementing activities to meet the varied needs of Green River students, faculty, staff and surrounding communities. During the Summer participants spend a portion of their time in workshops and training sessions that supplement their on-the-job training. Training also focuses on the communications skills necessary for the Campus Life leaders to become student ambassadors for the college. The experience and abilities gained in this program have helped many Campus Life leaders move on to highly successful careers.

Hi, my name is Anh Tran, but I go by Grace. I use any pronouns, and I am your Promotions Assistant for Student Life! This is my third year at Green River, where I am majoring in Business (hardest major ever btw) and Pre-Law. Born and raised in Binh Duong province (now Ho Chi Minh city), Vietnam, I have studied at five different schools, and at each one, I was actively involved in student government. That passion for representation is what drives me to be active in Campus Life. Over my time at 色花堂, I have taken part in many student leadership roles and cultural organizations, which has allowed me to collaborate with others, coordinate events, and advocate for our student community. A fun fact about me is that I was once a translator for the video game Subnautica: Below Zero. And no, please 诲辞苍’迟 ask me for survival tips because the only thing I was (debatably) good at in that game was translating.

AS色花堂 - 2025-2026

As-salamu alaykum, I’m Lawand and I’m a second year Running Start student from Auburn High School! I was born in Kurdistan, Iraq and have lived in the US for the past seven years. I wanted to get involved on campus to dive deeper into the world of student government and finance, something that I developed an interest in when I immigrated to the US! In my free time, I enjoy reading books, learning about cars, and writing debate cases. Feel free to reach out for help or with questions regarding AS色花堂 and finance!

Hello, I am Mason, a third-year from Forest Grove, Oregon. My involvement on campus stems from a passion for being immersed with the community around me and uplifting my peers. I plan to continue this after graduating by getting a major in Education and pursuing

student activities as a career. In my free time I enjoy making art and socializing with my friends and new people. Feel free to contact me to get help with anything on campus, or to learn how to get more involved.

Bonjour!! I’m Ya?lle, I’m in my second year at Green River. I’m from Brussels, Belgium and arrived to the United States in Fall 2025.

A fun fact about me is that I’m passionate about foreign languages. I speak French, English, Spanish and Dutch, and I always try to learn a little of my friends’ languages.

I first wanted to work in Student Life because I loved getting involved and organizing activities back home and wanted to extend that love to my new environment, which I did by creating events with GAB for 6 months. This year, I’m joining AS色花堂 with the goal of getting out of my comfort zone, and take on bigger responsibilities while hopefully impacting a larger amount of students. I am particularly excited to step in the position of Advocacy Coordinator as it has always been a priority for me to help give a voice to those who couldn’t speak up. So, if you have anything that you want to share, or find something that needs a change, feel free to send me an email on yaelle.dufour@greenriver.edu !!
